The Prince had been due to unveil the plaque and tour the campus with HM The Queen during the Royal visit to Hillingdon in May, but unfortunately had to cancel his plans at the last minute due to health reasons. Thanking the Duke for keeping his promise, Professor Wolff revealed that he had known the Duke for 40 years. “If I had been asked who I could have chosen, given the whole world to choose from, I can say in all honesty that the Duke of Edinburgh would have been my first choice. He has a twinkle of humour and, always, instantaneous understanding.” ![]() HRH Prince Philip with Professor Heinz Wolff
