Welcome from the Dean

Tom Betteridge profileThe College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences is a community of scholars all of whom are engaged in exploring the world we live in and engaging with ways of changing it for the better. The college is committed to delivering excellent research led teaching and in preparing its students to lead successful lives and to have brilliant careers.

As a member of the college you will be taught by leading experts in the fields of Arts, Business, Economics, Education, Law and Social Sciences. To support its students the college runs a range of workshops and programmes designed to equip its students to compete in the global economy. You will also have numerous opportunities to engage in extra-curriculum activities including the Entrepreneurial Society and Brunel Arts. As Dean of CBASS I look forward to welcoming you to the college and seeing you develop your talents and skills to become a successful committed citizen of our world. 

Together, the College departments produce ground-breaking research and educational programmes that addresses the challenges facing society. Alongside other research produced by the University, the College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences changes the lives of people around the world by bringing economic, social and cultural benefits.
