Campus accommodation includes several ground floor en suite rooms suitable for wheelchair access.
There are also several rooms accessible by lift, which may be suitable for disabled students, but not for wheelchair users. These rooms have wider doors with low-level locks, larger floor space and pull cords in place of light switches. They also have an emergency switch, linked directly to the Student Living Office. The adjoining bath or shower rooms have a larger floor space, and the bath, washbasin, mirror, towel rails and shaving light are all at a suitable lower level. Those rooms with showers are adapted so that the shower has a seat and no step.
Limited number of fully adapted studio flats are available for couples.
Rooms can be adapted for those students with a hearing impairment to include a vibrating pillow and a flashing beacon, in case of emergency.
Please view the virtual tours to see some our adapted rooms and kitchens on campus.
