The HOLOMAR project is a European collaboration working on the holographic recording of plankton in the sea. We are developing a self-contained holocamera that can record holograms under the sea, a precision replay facility to reconstruct the holograms for study, and appropriate image enhancement and analysis methods for automated processing of the results.
