One of the Design for Health -D4H-, projects in progress this year is the design of a Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) sleeve with the aim to help with rehabilitation of the arm and hand after stroke. The collaborative project developed with CardioCrown, a Neuro Tech SME, involves 2 students from Physiotherapy and one Industrial Design student and academics from the two disciplines. This multidisciplinary composition of the team will ensure a more robust and considered project outcome. Stroke survivors are central to the co-design and will provide insights and feedback through their lived experience to the project.
