Tell us about your educational and/or career journey since you graduated from Brunel?

I have co-authored a book. I also run an educational course for yoga teachers online.

What does a typical day at work involve for you?

I teach one or two yoga classes or clients per week. Otherwise, I am busy marketing and setting up my online course and in-person teaching opportunities. All in the topic of anatomy and physiology applied to yoga.

What’s been the highlight of your career journey so far?

Writing the book The Physiology of Yoga, published by human kinetics (2022).

How would you say your Brunel experience has helped you to get where you are today?

My master's degree has helped me build credibility in the yoga community as an expert in anatomy, physiology and science. It has also helped me how my critical thinking, which is something I'm known for in the yoga community.

Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?

I liked the sport physiology program, and I would recommend the program because of the teachers there.

What is your best memory of studying here?

I loved attending the lectures, particularly, Richard Godfrey's.

If you could give one piece of advice to current Brunel students, what would that be?

Your degree will help you in ways you don't fully understand until you finish.

What would be your top tip or key advice for new graduates as they begin their career journey after leaving Brunel?

Don't be afraid to go it alone and be self-employed or start your own business.
