Tell us about your career journey since you graduated…
After my graduation from Brunel I came back to Turkey to manage my company. I have made a few contracts and started doing long work hours.
What does a typical day at work involve for you?
Replying e-mails, scheduled meetings and calls, controlling of ongoing projects and searching for new work areas.
Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?
Because of its reputation for industry relationships and its ability to bring people from many different cultures together.
What is your best memory of studying here?
Being awarded with ancient Egypt alphabet on papyrus was the best memory of my study. The gift was from Dr Mohamed Darwish for solving an error on an assignment.
If you could give one piece of advice to new students, what would that be?
Do not try to do anything before you learn the language good enough to communicate with people; being able to use English was the most important part of my journey even though I studied Engineering.
What would be your top tip or advice for new graduates as they begin their career journey?
Take risks and try to get a place to work for yourself.
