How has Brunel helped you grow personally and/or academically?
Studying at Brunel helped me to live my life on my own, and taught me how to be independent and work hard to achieve my goals.
It helped me to grow academically by providing me with a quality education and by providing me with highly qualified teaching staff. Brunel allowed me to explore myself and navigate my skills to achieve my goals.
How does Brunel inspire you?
Brunel has inspired me in various ways, in particular its diversity. Although it's diverse, Brunel promotes equality among all students from all different backgrounds and countries.
The staff has inspired me by providing the best services in terms of education and every other aspect. It has inspired me by giving every student an equal chance to participate in the wide range of events and programmes.
How would you describe the Brunel community?
I am a very social person and I am very happy with how Brunel puts a lot of effort into big or small events that all students can come together, starting with freshers week! There is always something to do and I believe that anyone who is willing enough to find their place here can fit in. If there are no events on campus, Uxbridge town centre is just a bus away for a night out. I really like how London is also just one train away.
Overall, my experience with the university's community is very calm and enriching, and taking one day at a time allows me to enjoy it.
Why did you choose to study at Brunel and why would you recommend Brunel to others?
The transition to university is a big step for everyone and moving out of the safety of your household in a space filled with strangers can be daunting to many, but getting to know new people was and still is a huge thrill. I joined Brunel during the pandemic and we spent most of our months in lockdown but when things started to open up, I met so many people and I found that students around campus are very friendly, talented and smart. I have joined multiple societies to meet more like-minded people while cultivating my passions while gaining experiences that can boost my CV.
I would recommend other students to study at Brunel as it has a great teaching staff, a very nice and spacious campus in London with friendly people and a beautiful community as well.
