Collaborative research between Brunel and Government Officials – The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Trade Advisory Services

As part of the 2024 Open Innovation Policy Fellowship scheme, Dr Nikolaos Barkas, a Policy Advisor from the UK Border Strategy and Innovation team in the Cabinet Office, conducted research at Brunel University of London, under the supervision of Professor Tatiana Kalganova in the department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

Based on his research at Brunel, Dr Barkas produced a research paper on The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Trade Advisory Services, which includes practical recommendations on the use and implementation of AI within UK trade advisory services.
