Celebrate

Brunel's 50th anniversary year was an opportunity to celebrate with our staff and student campus community as well as our business partners and alumni all over the world. The 14-month programme featured more than 40 events and activities with the sole aim of engaging and celebrating this important milestone with our national and global community. Some of our most prominent events included the Staff Garden Party, which was attended by more than a 1000 of our past and present staff members, as well as Brufest 50, our end of year musical bash for students. We also held a gala dinner in the heart of London for our closest business partners, attended by Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP,  as well as a series of international alumni events in Hong Kong, Singapore and China. The diverse programme of events also gave Brunel an opportunity to connect with it's local community, holding events such as the The Brunel Big Lunch as well as the a special 50th firework display at the Annual Fireworks event, cementing Brunel's status as a civic university.
