European Award for alumni journalist
Brunel alumna, Nikki Fox (Music 2003), was crowned as Journalist of the Year at the 2016 European Diversity Awards in November.
Nikki, who has muscular dystrophy, is the BBC News Disability Affairs Correspondent and has also appeared on various TV and Radio shows including Watchdog, The One Show, How to Look Good Naked and Rip-Off Britain.
No stranger to success, her first ever documentary, Beyond disability: the adventures of a Blue Badger, won her a Sony Radio Award.
Nikki started her media career with a job answering phones at BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and then got a place on the Channel 4 Disability Researcher Training Scheme. Her work has gone from strength to strength ever since.
We are thrilled that Nikki continues to have her outstanding achievements acknowledged and we are very proud to call her a Brunelian.
