Several Brunel Law School faculty members have been successful in securing competitive grants, allowing them to embark on cutting-edge research projects that promise to contribute significantly to the field of law.
The achievements highlight the depth and breadth of expertise within Brunel Law School and its commitment to fostering impactful research.
Dr Hayleigh Bosher (Reader in Intellectual Property Law) won one of the British Academy Researcher-Led Innovation Fellowships 2023-24 in the amount of £128,000.00 for her ground-breaking project titled "The Future of the UK Music Industry: Exploring Policy and Practice"
This fellowship brings together research, the UK Government and music industry to advance the sustainable and successful future of the UK music industry by developing music policy.
The core focus areas encompass;
1) recognising the multifaceted value of music
2) fostering a sustainable and inclusive industry
3) regulating and future-proofing the sector, and
4) promoting global success through enhanced export strategies.
Dr. Colin Luoma (Lecturer in Law) won a highly completive grant awarded by the Socio-Legal Studies Association (SLSA). This grant involves awards up to £1,500 aimed at encouraging socio-legal research initiatives.
Dr Solon Solomon (Lecturer in Law) was awarded £1,890 by Brunel University London Public Engagement Fund funded through UK Research and Innovation - Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF) for a project titled "Migrating: Refugees and Fear as a policy turning point"
