Congratulations to Brunel Law School Professor Suzanne Rab who was shortlisted for the prestigious Barrister of the Year Award – one of the five awards open to Inspirational Women in Law.
Every year, the First 100 Years Inspirational Women in Law Awards invites nominations for women in law who are the trailblazers of their generation, driving much-needed change in the legal sector to make gender equality a reality.
In addition to her role at Brunel, Professor Suzanne Rab is an independent barrister at Serle Court Chambers in London, which she combines with her role as Practice Chair in Commercial Law. She is also a Non-executive Board Member of the Legal Aid Agency (LAA).
Suzanne has significant experience of advising on the development, implementation and application of new competition laws and regulatory regimes in line with international best practices, including in emerging markets.
As a shortlisted nominee, Professor Rab attended the awards ceremony in London on the 19 November hosted by Legal Week’s Women Influence & Power in Law conference.
Dr Hayleigh Bosher, Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law, was also nominated in the Champion of the Year category.
