Celebrating 20 years of Made in Brunel: The 2025 sub-brand is announced along with dates for the 2025 exhibition on campus.
‘Remastered’ has been revealed as the new sub-brand for Made in Brunel 2025 – Brunel Design School's annual flagship design initiative and exhibition showcasing the work of its students. The branding was finally unveiled last Friday at the Made in Brunel 2025 launch event on campus, attended by over a hundred staff, students and alumni. For the very first time, the four-day showcase will be held at Brunel University of London from 4 to 7 June, and it promises to be extra special as it celebrates its 20th anniversary and 40 years of design at Brunel. All are invited to attend this free public exhibition.

Made in Brunel is a highly successful Brunel Design School initiative, and the exhibition is a key highlight in the academic year. As part of their major projects, Brunel Design School students have the opportunity to showcase and celebrate their designs at the annual Made in Brunel public exhibition.
After months of research, planning and designing, the exhibition is also an opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to promote their talents and ideas to industry professionals and the wider creative community.

Since it first started in the 2005-2006 academic year, the Made in Brunel exhibition has been held at a central London location, but to celebrate the 20th anniversary, it will be on campus for the very first time. The free public event will be open for all to attend, along with Brunel staff, students, alumni and industry professionals.
The Made in Brunel 2023 exhibition
Made in Brunel is a key development and networking opportunity that encourages students to think outside the box to create innovative new products and devices. Each year, the students are tasked with creating a new sub-brand for Made in Brunel that steers their designs and gives each exhibition a fresh new look and feel.
Anna Chapman, a Design BSc student and co-director for this year’s Made in Brunel exhibition, explained that Remastered represents the art of innovation, pushing boundaries and stepping beyond comfort zones.

Gulraiz Hassan, an Industrial Design BA student and co-director for this year’s event, said: ''Made in Brunel 2025 is turning up the volume and igniting a bold new wave of creativity. It’s where individuality thrives, connections deepen and the past collides with the future in a powerful reinvention. Here, everything is reimagined and remastered.”
Each year, the Made in Brunel sub-brand has a set of brand values, and the 2025 values are: Rock 'n' Roll, Nebula and Disco.

“Rock ‘n’ roll is the vibe that screams individuality, smashing expectations and making noise,” explained Gulraiz. “Nebula is where the past meets the future in a cosmic explosion of new possibilities, and we’re shaking things up like stardust from old stars to create our own big bang of creativity.”
Anna explained that Disco is not just about music. “It’s a whole vibe of unity, freedom, and feeling good with the ones you love,” she explained. “It’s all about connection, joy and creating memories with the people around you.”
Dr Busayawan Lam, Head of Brunel Design School, said: "I am excited by the new concept proposed by this year’s Made in Brunel student team. It celebrates our past and promotes a positive outlook for the future.
“This ties in nicely with design’s 40th anniversary celebrations, where we hope to strengthen our partnerships with alumni and existing industry collaborators as well as extend our impact to a wider creative community and industries."
In celebration of Brunel Design School’s two big anniversaries, Made in Brunel 2025 promises to be bigger than ever. As always, a complimentary Made in Brunel book will be available at the exhibition to showcase the work of all the 2025 designers.
