The dedication and commitment of Brunel’s placement team has been recognised on a national level at the recent RateMyPlacement Awards, which was held on 6 March. The team ranks 7th among the top 50 best universities for work experience, as voted for by students.
RateMyPlacement is the UK’s leading online jobs board for students seeking paid placements, internships and insight schemes. Its annual virtual awards evaluate universities across the country based on their effectiveness in supporting students through their job search as well as providing them with invaluable work experience opportunities.
“Out of 50 institutions, Brunel University London emerged as one of the standout performers, thanks to the hard work, enthusiasm and commitment of every member of the Professional Development Centre,” said Mohamed Rahman, Head of Placements at Brunel.
“The team's dedication to building connections between students and employers, coupled with the endorsement of our students, has been instrumental in securing our position among the top universities for work experience,” he said.
Through strategic partnerships with industry leaders and proactive engagement with employers, Brunel continues to develop opportunities for students to gain practical experience and enhance their employability.
“Brunel understands the important role that hands-on experience plays in shaping the future careers of students, and our commitment to providing high-quality work placements enables students to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings, while developing essential skills and building their professional networks,” added Mohamed Rahman.
Prof Geoffrey Rodgers, Brunel’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for Enterprise and Employment, expressed his delight in the recognition. “Our placement team's exceptional efforts have placed Brunel University London at the forefront of work-integrated learning. This is recognition of the collaborative efforts of our dedicated staff and supportive industry partners."
