Brunel University London has unveiled its new Brunel Sanctuary Scholarship: a full-fee waiver for five full-time students identified as refugees.
"Its introduction is an extremely important step towards enabling people who have fled persecution and are seeking asylum in the UK to be given the opportunity to attend higher education," said Karen Western, Widening Access Officer at Brunel.
The scholarship is open to sanctuary students (displaced students) who have received an offer to study on a full-time undergraduate course starting in September 2019.
As well as a full tuition fee waiver, successful applicants will receive free single-occupancy accommodation in Brunel's on-campus halls of residence.
Applicants should explore the terms and conditions, download an application form and apply by Sunday 31 March 2019 – including evidence of immigration status. Any additional questions can be answered by Karen Western.
