In Remembrance: Brunel's fallen students

ww1 920x540

100 years ago today, peace in Europe was declared. By the time the guns fell silent, 115 of the 758 students called up to fight from Borough Road College were dead.

Ten more, pictured above, were lost from Shoreditch College, another of Brunel’s founding institutions.

In remembrance of those who lost their lives, Brunel University London Archives have painstakingly compiled biographies for all those students who never had an opportunity to finish their studies. Please take a moment today to think of these students, and remember those who didn’t come back.
