Put theory into practice to help people lead more fulfilling lives
Whether you’re looking to begin your career, or want to further develop as an occupational therapist, Brunel’s range of Occupational Therapy courses will equip you with the practical and enquiry skills to help people lead better lives physically and psychologically.
This ranges from assessing the impact of everyday activities to prescribing specialist equipment or other remedial medical solutions.
You’ll learn the latest theory around anatomy, physiology and activity analysis and then work with people who experience problems in these areas. Through a combination of practice on real patients and your peers, you’ll be ready for the reality of professional practice in occupational therapy.
Our expert lecturers are experienced, passionate and still active in clinical environments or research so you’ll get a comprehensive learning experience where their knowledge becomes yours. Throughout your Occupational Therapy degree, you are constantly challenged to develop new, or enhance existing, methods in the practice of occupational therapy.
You’ll gain professional experience that makes you ready for the world of work when you graduate.
Your Occupational Therapy undergraduate or postgraduate degree has practice placements consisting of 28 weeks – equivalent to over 1,000 hours. We offer you practice placements in the NHS, local government, charities and private settings around London, a city with a diverse base of patients.
This exceptional work experience combined with your academic studies creates a strong foundation for your future therapeutic career.
