Compass Theatre - Box Office Operator

Details of the Charity:

The Compass Theatre provides residents of the London Borough of Hillingdon with subsidized culture and arts spaces and venues, for producers of public art activity which is for the artistic or educational benefit of Hillingdon residents, on a non-profit basis.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will manage ticket sales for events online, over the telephone, and in person, this role also involves handling various tasks related to ticketing and assisting the audience. As a Box Office Operator Volunteer, you will learn about different productions, and gain insights into the behind-the-scenes workings of a theatre, while enhancing your customer service skills. 

Key Tasks:

  • Selling tickets to customers in person, over the phone, and through an online platform
  • Assisting customers with making reservations for upcoming performances or events 
  • Working closely with other theatre staff, communicating about what time the show is expected to end and how many have booked in advance
  • Enhancing the theatre's customer experience and supporting its revenue generation

Please note, the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
