The Turner’s House Trust is a charity committed to preserving and promoting Sandycombe Lodge, the country retreat built by the renowned landscape painter JM W. Turner. The organisation offers exhibitions, events, educational programmes, and guided tours so people can explore and learn more about Turner`s life, artistic practice, and the historical context of the property.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will actively contribute to the implementation of the marketing strategy, focusing on both local community engagement and online promotion. As a Marketing Assistant Volunteer, you will boost your digital marketing skills, while enhancing teamwork and collaboration skills.

Typical duties include:

  • Researching and maintaining up-to-date community website listings to ensure accurate and relevant information for potential visitors
  • Delivering leaflets to libraries and heritage organisations, effectively spreading awareness of upcoming events and exhibitions
  • Executing a social media plan to promote Turner's House Trust events, sharing engaging content, and building an online presence
  • Promoting volunteer recruitment efforts by updating information and effectively communicating the benefits of joining Turner's House Trust

Please note, this role requires a DBS check and the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
