DKMS is an international charity launched in the UK in 2013. The organisation is dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorder whilst recruiting blood stem cell donors to provide a second chance at life.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will lead efforts at Brunel University to raise awareness of blood cancer, recruit donors, and organise fundraising events. As a student ambassador, you will develop your event planning and management skills, and learn about different methods of activism and raising awareness.
Typical duties include:
- Establishing and contributing to a Stem Cell Society with the Student Union
- Plan and deliver monthly donor recruitment drives
- Deliver fundraising events on campus
- Work with other Brunel societies and local communities to raise awareness of blood cancer
Please note, the organisation requires a CV and asks that you to commit to a minimum of 1 academic year.
