Cardinal Hume Centre helps young people, children, and their families who are facing poverty or homelessness. The organisation is based in Westminster and provides a home on-site to 37 young people, helps families keep or find a stable home, teaches how they can manage their money, and secures their legal right to remain in the UK to access homes, work, and benefits.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will support all areas of retail and customer service. As a Retail Assistant, you will grow your confidence, developing skills such as customer service, teamwork, and organisational abilities.
Typical duties include:
- Talking to customers and making them feel welcome
- Rotating stock, sorting, steaming, and tagging donations
- Housekeeping and tidying window displays to keep the shop looking its best
- Serving at the till to process sales of clothing and accessories handing them at the end of the day to the Finance Team
Please note, this role require a DBS check and the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
