West London NHS Trust provides mental and physical health services to the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham and Hounslow. It also provides some services on a national basis, including forensic and high-security services.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will support group leaders in delivering exciting football sessions to those looking to improve their mental and physical health. As a Football Session Volunteer, you will develop your team-building skills and use a variety of different communication styles on a day-to-day basis.
Typical duties include:
- Helping to check the pitch before sessions and creating a safe and friendly environment
- Demonstrating how to play, in line with the FA code of conduct
- Collecting feedback from attendees
- Acting as coach assistant and/or goalkeeper coach to West London NHS Trust Peers Football Club
Please note, this organisation requires a minimum 3 months commitment for 2 hours per week in addition to two references and a DBS check (fully funded).
