Sea Cadets - Administrative Assistant

Details of the Charity:

Sea Cadets is a charity providing young people aged 9-18 with activities and opportunities to gain qualifications and life skills such as resilience, self-belief, and confidence. The organisation is based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy, and young people can join activities on and off the water, such as Drill, First Aid, Meteorology, Marine Engineering, Sailing, Kayaking, Canoeing, and Rowing.  

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will be providing essential support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the organisation. As an Administrative Assistant, you will learn a set of skills such as organisational, multitasking, and data management.

Typical duties include:

  • Taking care of general office administrative duties
  • Assisting with keeping the Sea Cadet database up to date with qualifications, achievements, and information on cadets and volunteers
  • Booking internal cadet courses and arranging payments/transport when necessary
  • Ensuring email communication between parents and volunteers is clear and frequent

Please note, this role requires a DBS check the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
