Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of more than 410,000 people living in the boroughs of Runnymede, Spelthorne, Woking, parts of Elmbridge, Hounslow, Surrey Heath and beyond. The organisation provides a whole range of services across its hospital sites. The majority of planned care, like day case, orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation services, is provided at Ashford Hospital, with more complex medical and surgical care and emergency services at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Skills Required:
In this role, you will help maintain and expand a visual art programme that supports the health and well-being of patients and staff. As a Healing Arts Volunteer, you will acquire collaboration, communication, artistic and creative skills.
Typical duties include:
- Supporting artists deliver creative workshops with patients and staff
- Helping to audit the existing artwork collection across the Trust
- Collaborating with the team to maintain an accurate inventory of existing artworks
- Installing changing art exhibitions in future gallery spaces
Please note, this organisation requires a CV, a minimum 6 months commitment for 4 hours per week as well as two references and a DBS check (fully funded).
