The Combined Counties Football League strives to create a financially secure, prosperous, and stable Step 5 & 6 regional league within the National League System. The organisation is dedicated to establishing clear pathways for the growth and progression of referees, players, clubs, and coaches, delivering sustainable and high-quality football experiences for their club member and their players, as well as addressing the specific needs of the local community.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will manage and maintain the public image and reputation of the organisation and as the main point of contact between the organisation and media, you will be making sure accurate information is spread to the public and stakeholders. As a Media Officer Volunteer, you will learn social media management, content creation, and digital marketing skills.
Typical duties include:
- Advertising Combined Counties League events with the Media/Press including, but not limited to, football web-based publications, electronic football, social media, and radio stations
- Writing and distributing press releases and media statements announcing fixtures and results
- Representing the organisation and acting as a spokesperson as appropriate
- Raising the media profile of the Combined Counties League within the areas covered by the competition
Please note, this role requires a CV and the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
