Empower Arts aims to empower vulnerable young people to become more powerful through different performing art forms. The organisation offers summer camps where children take part in different activities to create a show, allowing them to express themselves, feel comfortable, and go beyond their comfort zones in a nurturing environment.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will be supporting classes in Northolt while also going into schools and nurseries. As a Drama Teacher Assistant, you will enhance communication, creativity, public speaking, and leadership skills.
Typical duties include:
- Supporting the practical aspects of the Drama and Theatre courses throughout the Schools and Nurseries
- Teaching, assessing, and recording each child's progress
- Giving regular feedback to help children achieve their potential
- Supporting plays throughout the year as and when required
Please note, this role requires a CV and an enhanced DBS check. The organisation would also like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
