IntoUniversity is a charity dedicated to creating a safe space for young people to learn, explore and succeed. The organisation provides space and support for young people to learn, targeting those in disadvantaged communities, and ensuring a better opportunity to go to university and exit the cycle of poverty.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will work at after-school support sessions at centres in North West London. As an Academic Support Tutor, you will develop your communication and group skills, working with a wide range of children.
Typical duties include:
- Supporting students with homework, revision and study skills
- Engaging with IntoUniversity’s structured curriculum
- Working both 1:1 and with large groups of students
- Building relationships with young people
Please note, the organisation requires that you to commit to a minimum of 3 months. The organisation will conduct an Enhanced DBS check.
