Hillingdon Inter Faith Network is a local interfaith group and a member body of the Inter Faith Network for the UK. The organisation aims to develop and improve faith relations across the Borough of Hillingdon through its meetings, advice and informational services, whilst also promoting greater understanding between all the religious as well as those of non-religious beliefs though its programmes and other ad hoc routes.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will play a crucial role in collecting, sorting, and distributing food to those in need. As a Foodbank Helper, you will acquire logistics and inventory management skills, as well as customer service, teamwork and attention to detail skills.
Typical duties include:
- Handing out food to individuals and families in need
- Organising and categorizing food donations
- Providing a welcoming and supportive environment for families
- Keeping the foodbank area clean and organised
Please note, the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
