The Middlesex Association for the Blind is a charity dedicated to breaking down the barriers that blind and visually impaired individuals face. The organisation provides home visiting, IT, and employment and Braille services, as well as social clubs and assistive technology across Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond, empowering people to fully participate in their communities.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will visit service users in their homes to help with practical tasks. As a Home Visiting Volunteer, you will develop your communication skills and patience in working with a variety of people.
Typical duties include:
- Visiting a client in their home to help with practical tasks
- Help clients to access the local community
- Help out with IT skills and administrative tasks
- Work with the borough support worker to document events
Please note, the organization requires that you to commit to a minimum of 3 months and the organization requires a DBS check.
