DKMS is an international charity launched in the UK in 2013. The organisation is dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorder whilst recruiting blood stem cell donors to provide a second chance at life.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will actively contribute to increasing awareness of blood cancer and driving donor recruitment efforts at Brunel University. As a Blood Cancer Awareness Ambassador, you will gain valuable skills in event organisation, communication, and community engagement.
Typical duties include:
- Organising and leading donor recruitment events to help individuals diagnosed with blood cancer find lifesaving matches
- Collaborating with a group of dedicated students to plan and execute activities and events in support of DKMS
- Raising awareness about blood cancer and the importance of donor registration through various outreach efforts
- Assisting in fundraising activities to further support the cause and make a difference in the lives of those affected by blood cancer
Please note, the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
