DKMS is an international charity launched in the UK in 2013. The organisation is dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorder whilst recruiting blood stem cell donors to provide a second chance at life.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will assist in the process of registering potential stem cell donors. You will be supporting donor registration events and activities to increase the number of individuals who join the stem cell donor registry. As a Donor Registration Helper, you will acquire skills such as teamwork, collaboration, sensitivity, confidentiality, and public speaking skills.
Typical duties include:
- Assisting with the registration process
- Distributing registration materials
- Answering or directing any enquiries to the appropriate member of staff or team
- Maintaining patient records
Please note, this organisation requires a minimum 6 months commitment.
