DKMS is an international charity launched in the UK in 2013. The organisation is dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorder whilst recruiting blood stem cell donors to provide a second chance at life.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will support donor recruitment events to help increase the pool of registered stem cell donors. As a Donor Registration Helper, you will meet a wide range of people and develop your teamwork, collaboration, sensitivity, confidentiality and public-speaking skills.
Typical duties include:
- Welcoming visitors to events
- Answering basic questions about the process of donor registration and the commitment involved
- Hand out flyers and support fundraising at events
- Provide information about the work DKMS does
Please note, this organisation requires a minimum 6 months commitment.
