Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK’s leading Ovarian Cancer Charity. The organisation works to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide much-needed support to women, family members, and health professionals to ensure that the areas that matter most for those living with ovarian cancer are targeted.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will help to raise funds and awareness for Target Ovarian Cancer around the university and surrounding areas. As a Student Amabassador, you will acquire skills such as networking, relationship building, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Typical duties include:
- Collaborating in raising awareness for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in March, as well as supporting various awareness initiatives throughout the year
- Collaborating with other students to plan and execute at least one fundraising event per academic year, ensuring a successful outcome
- Assisting in promoting and advocating for important campaigns related to Ovarian Cancer, utilising the provided campaigning toolkit
- Managing cash-related responsibilities, including counting and securely banking donations collected during fundraising activities
Please note, the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
