Afghanistan and Central Asian Association is an organisation that supports London's refugee community and the Afghan diaspora in the United Kingdom, providing a wide range of social, cultural, and educational services in order to break down language and cultural barriers. The organisation has a long-standing integration agenda, with campaigns for human rights and democracy.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will manage and coordinate collaborative projects and partnerships between the organisation and external stakeholders. As a Partnership Project Officer, you will learn how to build and maintain relationships, as well as negotiation and diplomacy skills.
Typical duties include:
- Working with organisations and individuals such as the police, local government, potential donors, and other service and advocacy charities
- Collaborating with individual clients in order to outreach to other community organisations
- Designing materials for Women Empowerment Sessions
- Monitor volunteer and intern onboarding and off boarding
