The organisation aims to improve support and recognition for people who are caring for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled, or has mental health or addiction problems.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the charity’s affairs to ensure that it operates effectively, ethically, and in accordance with its charitable purposes. As a Trustee, you will learn governance and leadership skills, financial management skills, and strategic planning skills.
Typical duties include:
- Acting in the best interests of the charity
- Prioritising the charity’s mission and the welfare of those it serves
- Ensuring charity operates in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and governing documents
- Participating in the development of the charity’s long-term strategic plans and objectives
This organisation requires a minimum 12 months commitment, within six boarding meetings per year.
