The new BCAST Advanced Metal Casting Centre (AMCC) has been featured in the November issue of the International Aluminium Journal. The Germany-based journal appraised the £14 million project as an important step to bridge the gap between fundamental research, which is done at BCAST, and applied industrial scale research. AMCC will be co-funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the industrial companies Constellium and Jaguar Landrover. A new laboratory building will be established at the Brunel campus, and run by technical and research personnel from BCAST and the industrial partners.
