Even if you are predicted a grade or 2 below the listed grades it is worth submitting an application. If your overall application is strong it may be considered. However, A-level Maths is not compulsory for the following courses: Economics and Mathematics with an Integrated Foundation Year Accountancy BSc - GCSE Maths Grade B, or grade 6 is required Economics and Business Finance BSc – GCSE Maths Grade B, or grade 5 is required Business and Management (Accounting) BSc – GCSE Maths Grade B, or grade 5 is required. Year 2 applications can be accepted for most (but not all) programmes. Year 2 entry - I want to apply for second year, what do I do? Year 2 entry - I want to apply for second year, what do I do? × Close Transfer applications may be considered for year 2 entry (but not year 3) on a case-by-case basis. Please note that some programmes accept Year 1 applications only. To be considered for 2nd year entry, you must be close to meeting the 1st year entry criteria for your chosen Brunel course (detailed within the individual course pages). An application should be submitted via UCAS showing level 2 as your point of entry. When applying to transfer from another institution, you will be required to provide a reference from your current university, a personal statement explaining your interest in your chosen course, and the reasons you wish to transfer to Brunel. Please note, you are also required to have completed 120 credits (60 ECTS credits) of equivalent degree study before starting a Brunel course from year 2. The modules on your current course must be very similar to those offered on the Brunel programme (See the ‘Course Content’ tabs within the course pages). Typically a 60% average in year 1, with no failed modules is required, although this may vary for some courses. Start date - Can I start in January? Some of our postgraduate/Master’s courses start in January. Research programmes also have a January intake. References - How do I submit a letter of recommendation/reference? Postgraduate or part-time undergraduate courses: If a reference is required for your course this will be indicated within the online application. If you enter your referee’s business email address an automatic reference request will generate when you submit your application. If this is not possible, your referee can email a reference directly to admissions@brunel.ac.uk , from a business email address, quoting your Brunel ID number. Alternatively you can upload a reference via your eVision portal , provided it is on institute headed paper, in PDF format, and signed by your referee. Fees - Can I pay my fees in instalments? Fees - Can I pay my fees in instalments? × Close If you’re an international student and are made an offer of a place you will be required to pay a £3,000 deposit before the offer becomes unconditional. The remaining 60% of the year’s fees are payable on enrolment in September (or January for a January start-date) with the final 40% due in January (or March for a January intake). If you are a UK or EU student you can pay your yearly tuition fees in 6 monthly instalments, (usually September, November, December, January, February and March) – specific payment dates will be published in your eVision portal. Courses usually consist of six 15 credit modules, one 30 credit module and a dissertation worth 60 credits. If you were to complete the MSc over three years, as is standard, you would complete: Year 1: 4 x 15 credit modules (4 x £845) = £3,380 Year 2: 2 x 15 credit modules (2 x £845) and 1 x 30 credit module (2 x £845) = £3,380 Year 3: 60 credit dissertation = £3,380 Tuition fee total: £10,140 Scholarships - I’m applying for a Chevening Scholarship and must have an unconditional offer Scholarships - I’m applying for a Chevening Scholarship and must have an unconditional offer × Close Any offer of a place will initially be conditional. The conditions will be listed in an offer email. If you are subsequently awarded a Chevening scholarship you will need to provide this information to the Admissions team. Once you have met all other conditions they will provide you with proof of your university offer, enabling you to confirm your scholarship. Chevening scholarship applications are administered by the Chevening organisation. Please refer to their website for information about requirements and the application process. If you need to study English before studying for your degree you MUST sit the ‘IELTS test for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) purposes’. This is because you will only be able to apply for a Tier 4 student Visa for a Pre-sessional English course if you hold an ‘IELTS for UKVI’ from a UKVI approved test centre. After you receive an unconditional offer of a place from the Brunel Admissions team and closer to the start-date of your course, you will be able to apply for a Visa. CAS - I need a CAS CAS - I need a CAS × Close A CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies), which enables you to apply for your student visa, can only be issued after you have applied for a course and met ALL of the conditions listed in your offer email. If you’ve recently paid your deposit via bank transfer it may take up to 5 working days for the funds to transmit to the University. Please also ensure that you have completed the ‘Length of Study’ form before chasing your CAS – there is a link to the form contained in your offer email. Fees - Do you offer any discounts? If a member of your family is an alumni of Brunel University London you may be also eligible for our Brunel Alumni Family Discount, offering 10% off tuition fees for each year of study. What should I do? × Close You need to let us know about any unspent criminal convictions that you have not yet declared to us.Additionally, if you are on a course in teaching, health or social care you must tell us about all criminal convictions, including spent sentences and cautions (including verbal cautions) and bind-over orders. If it transpires that you failed to declare any criminal convictions, cautions, warnings, reprimands or bind-overs, your offer of a place will be withdrawn. It is not means tested and you do not have to pay it back. You can apply now so that the support you need will be in place when you join in September. If you are holding an unconditional place we will contact you in early August, if you are holding a conditional place we will not contact you until you are holding an unconditional place (i.e. when your results have been received and they are checked against your offer conditions). All students are required to complete the first part of their registration online. You should bring your registration summary letter(Provisional Registration Document), that you will have printed from the online task. If you have not completed the online task you should do so before you arrive, if you have but could not print the summary, please bring something with your Brunel student number on it. You should also bring your original certificates and English language certificates if you have not already shown these to the admissions office and, if applicable, your sponsorship letter, and documents to complete your Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), if your course requires one and you have not already completed it. We ask these questions to comply with UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration). The form asks questions about whether you have been in the UK before, for how long and what for.
