Working with a mentor can help you to
- Identify your career goals, and convert your aspirations into practical steps towards a placement/internship, graduate employment, or further study
- Be better prepared for the graduate recruitment and selection process ahead
- Produce an outstanding CV, improve your interview skills, practise assessment centre exercises
- Extend your network to include professionals in your target sector or profession
- Help you learn and develop vital interpersonal skills employers expect
- Get an insider’s view of a sector/industry
- Build a good working relationship with an experienced professional

The programme is open to level 2 & 3 undergraduates from underrepresented backgrounds. Please see the eligibility criteria below.
Eligible students should meet one or more of these criteria:
- Students from low income households (annual household income of less than £25K)
- Students of Black and Minority Ethnic [BME] backgrounds
- Students with a disability/dyslexia
- Local authority care leavers/foster care
- Carers - has dependent children or is an adult carer
- Estranged Students (18-25yrs living independently with no contact with parents or family network)
- Refugees (have experienced serious disruption to formal education)
- Students with specific learning difficulties and mental health problems
- Students accepted on to Brunel Summer Internship Scheme (BSIP)
