Support for doctoral supervisors and researcher development advisors

The Graduate School offers support and guidance to researcher development advisors (RDAs) and supervisors.

Supervisors

The Graduate School coordinates a university-wide supervisory working group to identify needs and develop support for doctoral supervisors. For information on the supervisory working group, please contact graduateschool@brunel.ac.uk

All supervisors can also access the Supervising Doctoral Studies 2.0 online self-study course on the Graduate School's Online Courses Brightspace site.

Research Development Advisors

The role of the Researcher Development Advisor (RDA) is to provide support to the doctoral researcher in relation to their broader development as a researcher and in relation to their career development. The Graduate School offers support and guidance for RDAs through training and development sessions run on a termly basis. RDAs can also find more information about the training and development and career support for doctoral researchers at Brunel on the student intranet.
