Summary
Dr Kamal is a Senior Lecture in Operations and Supply Chain Management. In line with his multidisciplinary expertise and research interests, he holds a Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration), MSc in Distributing Computing Systems as well as a Doctorate (PhD in Information Systems). His PhD focused on Decision-Making for Adopting Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Technologies in Local Government domain in UK. He has worked with the Oracle Corporation UK Ltd and the London Borough of Havering on an integration project (integrating IT applications i.e. (Customer Relationship Management [CRM] System, Local Land Property Gazetteer [LLPG] and Anite System from the Housing Division via EAI Technology), where he was appointed as a Business Analyst. Dr Kamal has contributed to several research grants including funded through EU Framework 7 and QNRF. Dr Kamal is the member of the Operations and Information Systems Management research centre (OISM), Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS). He has published over 70 articles in leading refereed journals (e.g. International Journal of Production Research, Expert Systems and Applications, Information and Management, Government Information Quarterly, Journal of Business Research) and conferences. He is a Senior Editor for Information Systems Management journal, Deputy Editor for the Journal of Enterprise Information Management and Transforming Government: People, Process and Policy and Editorial Board Member for Government Information Quarterly.
