Geriatric medicine

We are hosting a Geriatric medicine update on Friday 3rd May, aimed at Primary Care staff. This event will be held in the Beldam room, Eastern Gateway Building, Brunel University London and has been developed by Dr Duncan Alston, a Geriatrician at Hillingdon Hospital.

Updates will include:

-New disease modifying drugs in Alzheimer's
-CSF diagnosis of Mild Alzheimer's in Hillingdon
-Emergency toolkit for GPs managing patients with Parkinson's
-Practical information on accessing new community and rapid access services for Parkinson's in Hillingdon
-The new Frailty Assessment Unit at Hillingdon and what this means for GPs
-Updates on stroke and bone protection
-Practical information on support available in the Hillingdon area for patients with dementia and their carers
-Update on research in dementia
-Toolkit for GPs on assessing cognition
