Welcome to Brunel University London’s Development and Alumni Relations Office

 Our role is to work with the Brunel community in order to raise significant philanthropic funds for Brunel whilst building mutually beneficial relationships with our worldwide network of alumni and other friends.

Andrew Williams - Head of Development and Alumni Relations

Shauna Barron - Senior Alumni Officer (Maternity Cover)

Shauna picShauna is responsible for engaging and supporting the alumni community. Her role focuses on strengthening our network, nurturing relationships, and keeping alumni connected to the university through various communications and events. Additionally, Shauna works to raise the visibility of our alumni through initiatives like the Alumni Advisory Board and the Alumni of the Year Awards.

Charlotte Clark - Senior International Alumni Officer

Responsible for providing opportunities for our international alumni to stay connected to the university through Alumni Associations, in-country and online events, volunteering opportunities, communications, awards and more! If you'd like to start up or join an Association, share your achievements via a video testimonial or Alumni Profile, or volunteer your time in other ways, please get in touch at alumni@brunel.ac.uk

Mohammed Alam - Senior Development Officer

2022 - Mohammed NEWMohammed is responsible for raising funds and securing grants from charitable trusts and foundations. Grants secured are used to support students through scholarships, bursaries, prizes and awards; to provide new infrastructure and improve existing facilities; and to support Brunel’s research culture. Key development areas are diverse and range from design and engineering to medical research and environmental science. Mohammed is keen to work with any organisation interested in funding and supporting the work of Brunel.

Hilary Whale - Alumni Database and Website Manager

2023 - TEAM - Brunel Alumni Hilary Whale 1Hilary manages the Development Office's alumni and contacts database and the Brunel Alumni web pages making them a flexible and reliable medium of communication with Brunel's stakeholders. This provides an effective support system for Brunel University's fundraising programmes, ensuring that the content is regularly updated and that graduates can use the website effectively.

Anais Al Shami - Development and Alumni Relations Support Assistant

2023 - TEAM Alumni Anais Al Shami 1 (1)Anais supports the Alumni Relations & Development team to build engagement with alumni and donors by being the first point of call for enquiries and playing a key role in developing our communication with the alumni community.

Jessica Kath - Prospect Development, Special Projects Officer and LGBTQ+ Staff Network Coordinator 

Jessica JK2Jessica is responsible for the research and management of development prospects for Brunel's fundraising programmes in order to improve the University’s knowledge of, and connection to, key contacts both within the alumni community and beyond. She also oversees the Crowdfund platform and informs the DARO team’s strategy to increase constituent engagement and facilitates policies for good practice in research and work with prospects, also ensuring that Office complies with Fundraising Regulation and Data Protection policies.
