Education undergraduate courses at Brunel offer the opportunity for work placements or school experience that will boost your CV and give you a head start when looking for graduate roles.
One of the great things about our placements is how flexible your experience can be depending on your circumstances and goals.
If you’re considering our undergraduate course in education, you’ll take three work placements integrated into your course which give you the opportunity to explore your options in wide variety of education related fields. Better yet, you’ll have the option to organise this as a weekly placement or in a block over the holidays. Whatever suits you, you’ll be fully supported by the programme team, and our Professional Development Centre.
We have a well-established network of educational settings, including schools, to support your placement learning experiences across west and central London as well as the surrounding boroughs and Home Counties. Our diverse network means you will gain highly-valued placement learning experiences in vibrant multicultural environments that reflect the make-up of the area. These have recently included opportunities in museums; charities; the floating classroom of Groundworks; young offender institutions; Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and special schools, as well as mainstream schools. Not only does this give you a wide range of experiences, it also helps you to build a strong network for your future, including offering you the potential to secure future employment in one of these settings, which a number of our students have done.
