What happens when everything about you gets tarnished with a single brush and your story becomes one of many…

Brunel Arts associate artists Amina Khayyam Dance Company will perform a variation of their critically acclaimed production ONE.

This new piece uses high-energy Kathak featuring the cyclic phenomenon of South Asian classical arts and philosophy – where there is no beginning or end, incorporating Nritta (pure dance) and Nritya (expression of narrative), to capture the first beat of that cyclic time and nest it until it becomes the ‘one’ again – to tell the experiences of migrants maligned with generalisations and stereotype.

Three dancers weave individual stories accompanied by live music featuring tabla and cello.
