Financing sustainability: Recent perspectives

The year 2023 has seen increasing discussions on what ESG ratings actually measure and the usefulness (or uselessness) of such measures in achieving sustainability outcomes via financial markets.

Part of the session will look at the risk relevance of ESG for firms and its impact on financial outcomes. We will also discuss how more sustainable firms can experience better access to financial markets, and how better governed firms can improve their environmental performance.
