We are hosting a Geriatric medicine update on Friday 3rd May with expert speakers from across local healthcare organisations. Updates will include:

• New disease modifying drugs in Alzheimer's

• CSF diagnosis of Mild Alzheimer's in Hillingdon

• Emergency toolkit for GPs managing patients with Parkinson's

• Practical information on accessing new community and rapid access services for Parkinson's in Hillingdon

• The new Frailty Assessment Unit at Hillingdon and what this means for GPs

• Updates on stroke and bone protection

• Practical information on support available in the Hillingdon area for patients with dementia and their carers • -Update on research in dementia

• Toolkit for GPs on assessing cognition

This event will be held in the Beldam room, Eastern Gateway Building, Brunel University London and has been developed by Dr Duncan Alston, a Geriatrician at Hillingdon Hospital. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
