CCE Seminar Series: Dr Vivek Nityananda

Dr Vivek Nityananda is a David Phillips Research Fellow at the Centre for Behaviour and Evolution at Newcastle University. His research focuses on comparative cognition, particularly how animals perceive and process sensory information to make decisions. He has extensively studied visual perception and decision-making in insects, with a particular emphasis on bees, to understand how small brains solve complex tasks. His work integrates behavioural experiments with insights into sensory ecology, contributing to a broader understanding of the evolution of cognition across species.
