Dr Shabir Korotana
Senior Lecturer in International Commercial Law

Summary

Dr Shabir Korotana is a senior lecturer in Commercial Law and Private Law.  He joined Brunel Law School in 2009.  He is the Students Appeal and Complaint Tutor.  Previously he was the Exams Convenor, Director PhD Programme and also the Director of Brunel Law School’s International Financial Regulation and Corporate Law LLM programme.  Previously he was a lecturer in Contract, commercial and corporate law at the Sussex Law School, University of Sussex. Dr Korotana's primary teaching interest is in banking law and financial regulation and private law: contract, equity & trust and corporate law.  

 Dr Korotana pursued his higher education at the University of Wales for LLM and received his PhD at the LSE. His research interests are broadly in the areas of Private Law,  with particular emphasis on Contract, Equity & Trust, Corporate Law, Fiduciary Duties, regulation of New Forms of Digital Money and generally Banking and financial Law.  Dr korotana’s postgraduate teaching is in the area of theory and practice of International and financial regulation.  His undergraduate teaching is in Contract, Equity & Trust and Banking Law.  He has successfully supervised PhD students broadly in the areas of Private Law and Banking and Financial Law.  Dr Korotana’s recent publications are 1.
