I am a council member of the British Society for Population Studies.

My work has been widely reported in national and international media in The Financial Times, The Times, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, Wirtschaftswoche, Time Magazine, The Daily Express, ITV News and BBC News. I have appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour in a debate about the household division of labour and on the BBC World Service speaking about my research into female breadwinners and relationship stability.

PR week described me as "an academic with nous" following my work for PR Agency Third City on behalf of Starling Bank.

I organised a Festival of Social Science Event on grandparents at the University of Birmingham.
