“In Lebanon, there are more than 100 untouched mass graves dating back to the Civil War, with thousands of families awaiting a missing relative or at least a bone to bury,” we read in the description of the latest documentary by Professor Daniele Rugo.

Rugo reveals the hidden violence buried under ordinary settings such as a garden, a school, a café, and a hotel. The film's explores these common places, bringing to light the erased narratives.

The UK premiere of 'The Soil and The Sea' will take place at Curzon Soho on February 19th 2024, with Rugo present for a Q&A session. Later, the film will screen around the country, including in Oxford, Canterbury, and Plymouth.
